2) Tom Sawyer is the main character in the book and in a way he is a hero. He has a cunning personality and he is a very clever young boy. He seems sort of like a criminal. But on the other hand he also seems very caring towards all his friends and peers. He sort of has a relationship with a girl in his class, and when she refuses a gift from him we see a different more sensitive side of Tom. He is around 12 or 13 years of age, and he likes to show off to the other boys. He has a real sense of a leader in him. He comes across in the book as a very carefree person and likes to just go by life and see where it takes him, while having fun and getting what he wants along the way.

Panel 1: I like this panel because it shows how free Tom Sawyer actually is. In the previous panels before this one Tom’s aunt asked him to go to school and then when he leaves he gets to the cross-road where one way goes to the school and one goes to the pond. When he gets there he decides to go to the pond, and he goes fishing and has a great time there. This just showed me how free he is and told the reader what Tom’s character is like.
Panel 2: I think that this panel is a great way to show how free and clever Tom is. Because in the previous panels Tom was asked to paint this fence for his aunt, but since he didn't want to he decides to make it seem like a very entertaining activity so that when the other kids come by and see Tom working on the fence he makes it seem like it is him and only him who can be doing this. Which is reverse-psychology and shows the cunning side of Tom Sawyer.
Panel 3: This panel shows how Tom’s friend, Huck is very free and just goes by life like Tom, which makes them perfect friends. I like this panel because it is just sort of a dream for everyone, lying on a dock beside the water with no problems, just living.
